24/7 Emergency Tree Service in Austin, TX

Severe weather in Central Texas can turn a mature shade tree into an immediate life-safety crisis in seconds. Emergency tree removal becomes urgent when heavy live oaks or brittle cedar elms collapse onto residential roofs, puncture ceilings, crush vehicles, or completely block emergency access routes.

Large branches hanging precariously in the upper canopy under mechanical spring-pole tension—known as widow-makers—threaten anyone walking beneath. If an uprooted root plate has sheared nearby plumbing lines or shifted against foundation walls, waiting until regular business hours invites catastrophic secondary damage.

Our emergency dispatch team mobilizes immediately at (858) 780-5212, securing heavy cranes and experienced rigging arborists to stabilize your property day or night.

Central Texas weather generates distinct meteorological triggers that cause sudden catastrophic tree failures. Summer supercell thunderstorms generate powerful microbursts with 60 to 75 mph straight-line winds that snap brittle cedar elm scaffold limbs and uproot top-heavy live oaks.

During winter freeze events like Winter Storm Uri and Winter Storm Mara, radial ice accumulations exceeding 0.75 inches coat evergreen live oak leaves, multiplying canopy weight by thousands of pounds until sound limbs shatter.

East of I-35, torrential downpours saturate Houston Black clay soils. The soil softens into a slurry, destroying root friction and allowing high winds to lever massive root plates completely out of the ground.

Extracting a multi-ton tree resting on a residential roof requires engineered lifting, not standard dragging. Attempting to roll or pull a fallen trunk across rafters punctures ceiling drywall, tears roof trusses, and compromises load-bearing exterior walls.

We deploy 40-ton mobile cranes and synthetic lifting slings to establish overhead pick points. Our aerial arborists secure the trunk sections from above, relieving downward pressure on the house before cutting a single branch.

Each limb is severed with relief cuts and hoisted vertically off the building, swinging clear of tile roofs, solar panels, and gutters to eliminate secondary structural impact.

Under standard Texas homeowners insurance policies, tree removal is typically covered when an 'Act of God' storm causes a tree to fall on an insured structure, garage, or fence. We provide thorough photographic documentation and itemized arborist reports to substantiate your claim.

Within Austin city limits, Land Development Code Title 25-8 normally requires permits for removing protected trees (19 inches or greater DBH). However, City Code § 25-8-624 provides an explicit exemption for trees presenting an imminent hazard to human life or property.

Our arborists photograph the immediate failure and file emergency exemption documentation with the City Urban Forestry department on your behalf.

Our 24/7 emergency crews serve property owners across Greater Austin. We frequently respond to severe storm damage in West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, and Barton Creek canyon neighborhoods.

In North Austin, Round Rock, and Pflugerville, our teams manage fallen trees across driveways and fences on clay soils.

We also provide rapid emergency dispatch throughout South Austin, Del Valle, Buda, and Kyle, keeping roads clear and homes protected.
